Los Angeles’s Culinary Scene Continues to Sizzle As “The Most Exciting Food City in America” With The Return Of 2018 Summer dineL.A.

Discover Los Angeles is pleased to announce the new dates of 2018 Summer dineL.A., taking place July 13 – July 27, 2018. The 15-day dining event, wrapping up a celebratory year commemorating the program’s 10th anniversary in 2018, showcases the diversity of culinary talent and dining excellence across Los Angeles.

 

“It is proving to be a notable year thus far in celebrating the 10th anniversary of our beloved dineL.A. program,” remarks dineL.A. Director, Stacey Sun. “During our Winter 2018 program, we saw a record number of new restaurants participate, and many of them reported a significant increase in visitors. Along a similar vein, we are thrilled to see that more families, especially new parents, enjoy taking advantage of the value that the program offers. Summer dineL.A. is the perfect time of year to take advantage of our thoughtfully-curated selection of restaurants around town, not to mention L.A.’s gorgeous al fresco dining options.”

 

The city of Los Angeles has recently been recognized as the “Best Value Destination” according to SmarterTravel’s 2018 Editor’s Choice Destination Awards, and dineL.A.’s value-driven program is an exemplary model of an accessible and approachable way for visitors to further engage with the city’s iconic cuisine, available across an array of diverse neighborhoods that span from San Pedro to Studio City, and Venice to Highland Park.

 

The new culinary campaign for 2018 Summer dineL.A. showcases 10 dishes that have been the quintessential hallmark of L.A. culinary experiences spanning the past 10 years including steak, pasta, kebab with hummus, chirashi and more. Among the list of nearly 400 restaurants participating in 2018 Summer dineL.A., include veteran restaurants, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken’s Border Grill, which has participated in dineL.A. from the very first season, 2018 James Beard “Outstanding Restaurateur” Caroline Styne’s longstanding Lucques and a.o.c. (both with Suzanne Goin), along with Josiah Citrin’s Mélisse, which was among the first to join dineL.A.’s Exclusive Series. Many dineL.A. bastions who have arguably shaped the city’s dining scene over the past decade include Michael Cimarusti’s Providence and Roy Choi’s Kogi Taqueria. Some of L.A.’s newest restaurants participating in Summer dineL.A. 2018 include The NoMad LA, 189 by Dominique Ansel, Bone Kettle, Gesso, Jaffa, and Wood & Water.
