Union Ministry of Tourism signed MoU in Jammu and Kashmir

The Union Ministry of Tourism today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the implementation of tourism projects, worth Rs 2,241 crore, in Jammu and Kashmir.


The major projects comprise the proposals included in the Prime Minister’s Development Package (Reconstruction Plan) announced in November, 2015.


According to an official statement issued by the Union Tourism Ministry, the MoU was signed by the Tourism Ministry, National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCC) and National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) and J&K Government in New Delhi.


The MoU was signed in the presence of Vinod Zutshi, Secretary, Union Ministry of Tourism, and the signatories included Suman Billa, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism; Shamim Ahmad Wani, Managing Director, J&K Cable Car Corporation; KK Sharma, Executive Director, NPCC; and Alok Rastogi, Chief General Manager (BD), NBCC.
