
The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will host its landmark 40th Annual Convention from August 22 to 25, 2025, at Swosti Premium Beach Resorts in the pilgrimage city of Puri. Under the theme “Rejuvenate Inbound @2030,” the convention aims to chart a new course for boosting inbound tourism to India over the next five years.
Led by IATO President Mr. Ravi Gosain, the event promises a vibrant blend of insightful business sessions, dynamic networking opportunities, and cultural showcases. The organizing committee is helmed by Convention Chairman Mr. Sanjay Razdan (IATO Vice President), with Co-Chairmen Mr. Viney Tyagi (Hony. Joint Secretary) and Mr. Gagan Sarangi (Chairman, IATO Odisha Chapter).
All convention activities including registration, the inaugural function, business deliberations, and evening entertainment will take place at the Swosti Premium Beach Resorts. Distinguished guests like the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha and the Union Minister of Tourism have been invited to inaugurate the event. Around 900-1,000 delegates, including senior tourism ministry officials, state representatives from 17-18 states, industry leaders, hospitality professionals, and travel trade media, are expected to attend.
Highlights of the three-day convention include the “IATO Run for Responsible Tourism” on August 24, an Indian Tourism Fair (Travel Mart) from August 22 to 24 at the venue, and an evening Karaoke Singing Competition on August 23. The convention will facilitate discussions on pressing tourism issues, feature awards for excellence, and host 8 post-convention tours across Odisha aimed at showcasing the state’s diverse tourism offerings to both domestic and international market influencers.
With strong participation expected and a comprehensive agenda blending business, recreation, and cultural promotion, the 40th IATO Annual Convention in Puri marks a pivotal step in shaping the future of inbound tourism to India.
