Akasa Air has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity by offering Braille in-flight safety manuals and menu cards across its network. These resources, developed in collaboration with The Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC), ensure passengers with visual impairments have equal access to essential safety information and meal options.
The Braille safety manuals, available in English and Hindi upon request, include tactile diagrams and detailed safety instructions, such as seatbelt operations, emergency exits, and aircraft orientation. Similarly, the Braille menu cards for Café Akasa allow visually impaired passengers to independently select meals, snacks, and beverages, enhancing their travel experience.
Akasa Air’s cabin crew is trained to assist passengers requiring these resources, reflecting the airline’s empathetic service philosophy. Known for its tech-driven approach and customer-centric services, Akasa Air offers various amenities like spacious seating, USB ports, onboard healthy meal options, and pet-friendly travel policies.
Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has served over 14 million passengers and established itself as a reliable carrier with consistent on-time performance and operational efficiency. Connecting 22 domestic and five international cities, including Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Kuwait City, the airline continues to expand its footprint while prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity.
