Saudia Achieves Record Growth in 2024, Strengthens Vision 2030 Goals

Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has closed 2024 with exceptional growth in international operations, as detailed in its latest performance report. The airline transported 20 million international passengers on scheduled and additional flights, marking a 16% rise compared to 2023. Transit guest numbers also exceeded 9.3 million, reflecting an 18% annual increase.

In total, Saudia carried 35 million passengers throughout 2024, a 15% year-on-year increase. The airline operated 193,000 flights, recording a 10% growth in operations, with over 581,000 flight hours—an 8.5% rise. Saudia also improved its on-time performance rate to 89.1%, up by 2.7%, while achieving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 32.7, a 4.5% improvement, highlighting enhanced customer satisfaction.

His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, attributed this success to the airline’s evolving strategies, sustainable operational excellence, and dedicated workforce. The airline optimized its aircraft fleet and invested significantly in enhancing services, elevating the overall guest experience.

Saudia also made significant strides in digital transformation, with a 40% increase in Saudia app usage and a 324% rise in digital service adoption through the Government Digital Wallet (GovClick).

Looking forward, Saudia plans to expand its fleet and global network to meet rising demand during peak travel seasons. Currently operating 147 aircraft, the airline intends to add 118 new aircraft in the coming years as part of its ambitious growth strategy, reinforcing its role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030’s goals in tourism, entertainment, sports, and Hajj and Umrah.
