Jais Ride Cycling Race to Debut on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah in April 2025

Ras Al Khaimah is set to host a thrilling new cycling race, Jais Ride, on April 12-13, 2025, challenging riders to conquer the legendary 25km ascent of Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak. Organized by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), the race will test cyclists’ endurance on the world-class mountain road, known for its smooth curves, multiple switchbacks, and dramatic elevation changes.

The competition will feature key segments, including the Sprint Segment (Green Jersey Award) for the fastest 500m sprinter, King of the Mountain (KOM) Points awarded at split points (7km, 14km, and 21km), the Polka Dot Jersey Award for the best climber, and the prestigious Yellow Jersey Award for the top three riders reaching the summit. Participants can register online, with complimentary refreshments and an awards ceremony recognizing top finishers.

With its breathtaking landscapes and reputation as a global adventure tourism hub, Jebel Jais continues to attract elite and amateur cyclists alike.
