The Hotel Owners’ Association of Mysuru organized an informative session on Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Tuesday to educate its members and clarify doubts regarding the tax system. The session aimed to help hoteliers understand key aspects of GST, ensuring compliance and reducing errors in tax filings.
Association President C. Narayana Gowda, along with members Ravi Shastri and Chartered Accountant Mahesh, led the discussion. During his presentation, Mahesh highlighted common mistakes in GST compliance and emphasized the importance of understanding the tax system for all traders and taxpayers.
Many hoteliers admitted to being unaware of certain GST regulations, and the session provided valuable insights into various tax-related concerns. The association plans to hold a similar session with GST officials soon to further enhance members’ knowledge and address their queries.
By conducting such awareness programs, the Mysuru Hotel Owners’ Association aims to support its members in navigating GST regulations effectively, ensuring smoother business operations within the hospitality sector.
