The international hospitality technology company STAAH has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Clarks Hotels & Resorts in New Delhi, marking a significant advancement in the adoption of technology in India’s hospitality industry. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was present at ITC Maurya when the agreement was formally signed, emphasizing the country’s expanding power in technology-driven service sectors.
The purpose of Prime Minister Luxon’s trip to India is to promote business cooperation and deepen economic connections between the two countries. He underlined the possibilities for collaboration outside of cricket, especially in the fields of technology and hospitality, while accompanied by a delegation of more than 80 authorities and business executives. “Technology and hospitality have immense potential to drive innovation, economic expansion, and shared prosperity for both our countries,” Luxon said.
Since its founding in 2005, The Clarks Hotels & Resorts has grown to become one of the fastest-growing hotel chains in India, overseeing more than 135 hotels in more than 120 locations both domestically and abroad. Through this collaboration, STAAH’s cutting-edge distribution technology will be integrated by The Clarks Hotels & Resorts to streamline operations and improve visitor experiences.
“This MoU reflects the accelerating digital transformation of India’s tourism and hospitality sectors, creating new growth opportunities for New Zealand-based companies,” said Tarun Joukani, Director of STAAH. He underlined that in order for luxury and historic properties to be competitive, cloud-based revenue management and distribution systems are becoming crucial.
Aryavir Kumar, Managing Director at The Clarks Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the brand’s commitment to blending world-class hospitality with India’s cultural heritage. “Partnering with STAAH allows us to integrate cutting-edge technology, enhancing operational efficiency and guest engagement,” he said.
