Lanson Place Achieves Green Key Certification and Celebrates Earth Hour 2025 Across Properties Worldwide

Lanson Place marked two major sustainability milestones in March 2025, reinforcing its long-term commitment to environmental responsibility. Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong became the first in the group to earn the prestigious Green Key certification for its exemplary environmental practices. Simultaneously, all Lanson Place properties globally participated in Earth Hour 2025 on 22 March from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, supporting the global movement led by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

During Earth Hour, Lanson Place properties dimmed non-essential lights and equipment, hosted candlelit events, and engaged guests in sustainability-themed activities promoting eco-conscious living. Participating properties included:

  • Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (Green Key certified)
  • Lanson Place Waterfront Suites, Hong Kong
  • Two MacDonnell Road, Hong Kong
  • Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon, Kuala Lumpur
  • Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Manila
  • Lanson Place Winsland, Singapore
  • Yiju Apartment, Shenzhen
  • Lanson Place Parkside, Shanghai
  • Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, Melbourne

These efforts are part of Lanson Place’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes:

  • Paperless guest experience via e-registration, e-invoices, and digital reading material.
  • Eco-friendly housekeeping with sustainable products and opt-in linen change programs.
  • Plastic reduction and recycling, featuring in-room filtered taps, NORDAQ and Purezza water systems, coffee capsule recycling, and soap repurposing in partnership with charities.
  • Textile donation for recycling and upcycling.

Lanson Place also collaborates with Green Hospitality, a non-profit platform advancing sustainability in the hospitality industry. This partnership helps the brand implement green procurement, energy-saving solutions, and plastic reduction across its operations.

Earth Hour is a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can all make,” said Eugenia Lai, Director of Design and Technical Services at Lanson Place. “We are proud to embed sustainable practices across every aspect of our guest experience and operations.”
