Thailand Introduces Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to Replace TM.6 Form, Streamlining Entry for International Travelers

Thailand has officially launched the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a next-generation digital system that will fully replace the traditional TM.6 paper arrival form starting May 1, 2025. This major move aims to modernize the immigration process, reduce paperwork, and enhance the travel experience for international visitors.

With TDAC, travelers can submit their personal and travel details online before arrival, resulting in faster immigration clearance and improved efficiency at entry points.

The digital system is integrated with multiple government platforms to provide a seamless process:

  • E-Visa system – Department of Consular Affairs
  • Health screening protocols – Department of Disease Control
  • Tourist fee collection – Ministry of Tourism and Sports

To cater to global visitors, the TDAC platform is available in English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese, ensuring accessibility for a diverse tourist base.

Currently in its test and promotion phase, the TDAC will become mandatory from May 1, offering benefits such as:

  • Shorter wait times at immigration
  • Enhanced data security and convenience
  • Improved visitor management and national security

The initiative reinforces Thailand’s vision of becoming a smart tourism hub, supporting economic growth and enhancing its reputation as a digitally advanced, tourist-friendly destination. Through TDAC, Thailand is setting a benchmark for travel-tech innovation in Southeast Asia.
