
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed two new properties in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, and Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, marking the launch of its midscale conversion brand Garner in India. The hotels, which are slated to open in 2026 and 2027, respectively, will serve the expanding market of budget-conscious tourists by providing cozy, first-rate accommodations at reasonable costs.
One of IHG’s preferred third-party operators in India, Rosastays (Rosaoul Hotelco Pvt Ltd), will oversee both properties, which were developed in partnership with Madan Infradevelopers Pvt Ltd and Rudraksh Nakshatra Hotel Pvt Ltd. IHG is taking a big step in strengthening its position in India’s midscale hospitality market with this dual signing.
IHG’s newest midscale brand, Garner, is designed for contemporary tourists who value efficiency, warmth, and dependability without sacrificing comfort. The brand offers flexible, experience-driven stays with an emphasis on basic amenities and operational consistency, and it is designed for developing cities and transit hubs.
The Garner Etawah hotel will be perfect for weddings, social events, and business meetings in the culturally diverse city because it will have 40 rooms, a large ballroom, all-day dining, and designated conference spaces. In the meanwhile, Garner Kathua will provide to the growing need for high-quality lodging in this industrial and tourist hub by providing 45 rooms, a swimming pool, a multi-cuisine restaurant, and adaptable event spaces.
