Saudi Tourism Authority Brings Authentic Arabian Coffee Experience to Mumbai with ‘Brewtopia’

Mumbai witnessed a unique cultural exchange as the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) hosted ‘Brewtopia’—an exclusive, invite-only event at Soho House Mumbai—to introduce India’s travel trade professionals, influencers, and media to the Kingdom’s rich coffee heritage and hospitality traditions.

The immersive evening celebrated Saudi Qahwa (coffee), a symbol of the nation’s famed ‘Saudi Welcome’, blending tradition with contemporary flair. Led by Ganga Prabhakar and Pavan Hanbal, founders of Coffee Mechanics and Kana, guests experienced a fusion of Saudi coffee brewed in a French press—bridging Indian familiarity with Arabian authenticity. The aromatic Qahwa was served from traditional brass Dallah pots into delicate ceramic cups, paired with sweet Medjool dates, embodying Saudi Arabia’s warm hospitality.

Beyond the coffee ritual, the event offered cultural storytelling, networking sessions, and insights into Saudi Arabia’s booming tourism landscape. STA representatives highlighted the Kingdom’s diverse attractions, from futuristic cities like Riyadh and Jeddah to pristine Red Sea beaches, heritage sites like AlUla, and major events such as F1 Grand Prix, Riyadh Season, and the Esports World Cup.

India remains a key market for Saudi tourism, with increasing flight connectivity and the recent introduction of e-visas for Indian travelers. ‘Brewtopia’ aligns with STA’s strategy to deepen engagement with Indian travelers while showcasing Saudi Arabia as a vibrant, culturally rich, and welcoming destination.

The event reinforced STA’s commitment to strengthening ties with India’s travel trade and media, offering a taste of Saudi Arabia’s famed hospitality—one cup of Qahwa at a time.
