The Department of Tourism, Goa, has announced that the much-awaited Spirit of Goa Festival 2025 will take place from May 2 to 4 at the scenic SAG Grounds in Colva. At a press conference held in Mumbai, key tourism officials including Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik, GM Marketing GTDC Shri Gavin Dias, Deputy General Marketing & PRO Shri Deepak Narvekar, and Assistant Director Shri Jayesh Kankonkar shared event details and the festival’s significance.
Shri Kedar Naik emphasized that the festival is a tribute to Goa’s rich legacy of craftsmanship and community spirit, blending tradition with innovation to empower local artisans, distillers, and culinary professionals. The three-day event will feature 40 stalls offering a diverse range of locally distilled beverages — from the traditional GI-tagged Cashew Feni and creative Feni infusions to premium gins, craft beers, and exotic spirits, including wines and agave-based liquors.
The food segment will offer an expansive culinary journey through authentic Saraswat, Konkan, and Christian cuisines. Unique ingredients such as banana flower, kokum, raw jackfruit, bimbli (Bimla), and mango will feature prominently in traditional and fusion dishes. Visitors can also enjoy innovative cocktail pairings to complement the food experience.
Interactive activities will include traditional food and mixology masterclasses, live demonstrations of Goan arts and crafts, a curated Feni Experience Centre, fun cashew stomping sessions, and a themed photobooth. The entertainment lineup will be supported by a world-class German Coda audio system, presenting local Goan talent on an international-quality stage.
The Spirit of Goa Festival 2025 is part of the Tourism Department’s ongoing efforts to promote the state’s cultural, culinary, and artisanal heritage while advancing its regenerative tourism goals.
