South Asian Travel Awards 2025 Evaluation Kicks Off in Colombo, Honoring Regional Tourism Excellence

The 9th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has officially commenced its evaluation process in Colombo, marking the beginning of a comprehensive regional assessment to celebrate excellence in tourism and hospitality across South Asia. A distinguished three-member jury panel is currently evaluating Sri Lankan nominees from May 6 to 11, after which the panel will proceed to Bengaluru, India, continuing the assessment across key cities including New Delhi, Kathmandu, Paro, Dhaka, and Malé.

SATA, now in its ninth year, has become one of the region’s most prestigious platforms recognizing outstanding achievements in the travel and hospitality industry. The awards highlight excellence across diverse categories such as hotels, resorts, service providers, and innovative tourism initiatives that shape South Asia’s growing travel landscape.

The 2025 edition will culminate in a grand Gala Ceremony on September 19–20 in Negombo, Sri Lanka, where winners from across the region will be honored in the presence of industry leaders, government officials, and international media. As the evaluations begin, SATA continues its mission of promoting regional tourism excellence and cross-border collaboration within South Asia’s vibrant hospitality sector.
