Dead Sea to Welcome Israel’s Largest Tourism Complex and Luxury Hotel by 2028

A groundbreaking tourism and hospitality project is taking shape along the shores of the Dead Sea, set to become the largest tourism complex in Israel. Valued at approximately 800 million ILS, the ambitious development named Atlantis City is spearheaded by real estate developer Moti Green and his Barclays Group. Officially approved and now under construction, this massive venture will transform the region into a premier global travel destination, with the grand opening projected in about three years.

Located next to the popular Mushroom Beach and spanning a vast 110,000 square meters, the Atlantis City project will include a state-of-the-art convention center, a major luxury hotel, multiple tourist attractions, and an expansive commercial hub. The centerpiece will be a five-star hotel featuring 370 opulent suites, all offering uninterrupted views of the Dead Sea and complete with private pools. The hotel will also house ultra-luxurious 250-square-meter penthouses equipped with solariums and spacious swimming pools.

A major highlight of the complex is a planned colossal aquarium anticipated to be the seventh largest in the world designed to provide guests with an immersive underwater experience through a glass tunnel dive. The development will also feature a 20,000-square-meter commercial center, a lively promenade with dozens of retail shops, restaurants, and cafes, an indoor mall, and a rooftop attraction showcasing a transparent infinity pool and an exclusive chef-driven restaurant.

This large-scale project is part of a wider tourism expansion under the Tamar Regional Council, which includes the construction of 20 new hotels in the area. Once completed, the Atlantis City complex is expected to redefine luxury travel experiences at the Dead Sea and significantly boost Israel’s standing in the global tourism market.
