Club Med, the global pioneer of premium all-inclusive holidays, has announced a record-breaking performance in 2024 with a business volume reaching €2.09 billion—reflecting a 7% increase from 2023. This growth has been attributed to the rising demand for upscale travel experiences, particularly in mountain resorts. As the brand celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2025, it is set to build on this momentum with strategic global expansion, innovative guest experiences, and stronger sustainability commitments.
The East, South Asia, and Pacific (ESAP) region emerged as a significant contributor to Club Med’s success, recording a 24% growth in business volume and welcoming nearly 260,000 guests. High-performing mountain resorts in Japan, China, and the European Alps led the surge, while Singapore alone reported a 12% year-on-year increase in business volume. Interest in snow vacations from Singaporean travellers rose by an impressive 35.2%, accompanied by a 5.9% increase in the average daily rate (ADR), reflecting a growing inclination toward Club Med’s upscale and Exclusive Collection offerings.
Popular destinations for Singaporeans in 2024 included Club Med resorts in Bintan, Bali, Phuket, Kani (Maldives), and Cherating. Snow-focused destinations such as Kiroro Grand, Tomamu, Sahoro, and Beidahu also gained traction. Globally, the Exclusive Collection range registered a 23% growth in business volume and a 7.3% rise in ADR, signaling increased interest in luxury all-inclusive stays.
Rachael Harding, CEO of Club Med ESAP, attributed the success to the brand’s refined all-inclusive model, which offers seamless and stress-free vacations with inclusive dining, activities, and entertainment. Olivier Monceau, General Manager of Club Med Singapore & Malaysia, noted the growing demand among Singaporean families for convenient, luxury holiday experiences that cater to all age groups.
Globally, Club Med welcomed 1.5 million guests in 2024—a 1% increase from the previous year. Resort bed capacity expanded by 5%, and for the first time, 100% of Club Med resorts now fall under either the Premium or Exclusive Collection categories. The occupancy rate reached 75%, while the average daily rate climbed to €232. Mountain resorts contributed 35% of the overall business volume, and bookings for the first half of 2025 are already tracking 5.7% ahead of the same period in 2024.
Looking forward, Club Med is focusing on three key trends to shape its 2025 strategy: reinforcing its leadership in the premium all-inclusive market, expanding offerings for summer mountain holidays, and deepening its sustainability efforts through the “Happy to Care” initiative. This includes commitments to achieve BREEAM and Green Globe certifications at new and existing resorts, along with a push toward greater local sourcing—already, over 60% of fresh produce used in resorts is locally sourced.
To support its growth trajectory, Club Med has announced a slate of new resort openings and renovations. In 2026, the company will unveil Club Med Borneo in Malaysia, the first BREEAM-certified resort in the Asia-Pacific, offering 361 rooms, 39 luxury suites, and immersive nature activities. That same year, Club Med will launch its first African property in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, blending beach, surf, and safari experiences. Club Med Gramado in Brazil will become South America’s first Exclusive Collection resort, featuring premium facilities and the world’s largest artificial ski slope.
Other key developments include the 2028 launch of Club Med Musandam in Oman, a 300-room beach resort showcasing Omani culture and eco-tourism. Closer in the pipeline, Club Med Phuket in Thailand will reopen in 2025 with upgraded beachfront facilities, 32 new rooms, and a new water park, catering to families. Meanwhile, Club Med Bintan in Indonesia is undergoing a transformation, introducing redesigned accommodations, waterplay zones for children, and enhanced gourmet dining options.
In Japan, Club Med is enhancing its summer mountain experiences with new sports academies and camps. These include the Zico Football Academy at Kiroro Grand and tennis camps at select resorts, aimed at families seeking active, meaningful, and nature-driven holidays. The new codeshare agreement between Singapore Airlines and ANA, providing improved access to Hokkaido, is expected to further boost Club Med’s appeal across the region throughout the year.
