The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to present a vibrant display of the state’s cultural, spiritual, and historical heritage at a specially designed 36-square-metre stall in Thailand. The initiative aims to promote major tourist destinations under the Buddhist Circuit such as Sarnath, Kushinagar, and Shravasti along with iconic spiritual hubs like Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj, home to the grand Mahakumbh.
The immersive stall will feature LED wall screens and auto-navigation displays offering dynamic visuals of scenic spots across Uttar Pradesh. An Augmented Reality (AR) digital panel will allow visitors to take selfies against virtual backdrops of six of the state’s key destinations.
In addition to highlighting sacred sites, the exhibit will spotlight Uttar Pradesh’s rich traditions in local handicrafts and promote the Centre’s flagship One District One Product (ODOP) initiative. Visitors will also be treated to detailed visual displays showcasing the state’s historic temples, their architectural grandeur, and deep-rooted spiritual significance.
As part of its larger outreach strategy, the Yogi Adityanath-led government will host a one-day roadshow in Bangkok, expected to attract over 100 stakeholders including travel agents, media professionals, and influencers. To amplify the campaign’s impact, the UP government will run 30-second tourism commercials during prime-time slots for three consecutive days on three leading Thai television and radio channels.
Promotional videos will also be aired 15 times daily for three days at 10 key locations in Bangkok, including airports, metro stations, malls, and bus terminals. The campaign will be further supported by advertisements in two major newspapers and two popular travel magazines in Thailand.
The global branding campaign will be anchored by compelling slogans such as “Uttar Pradesh: The Land Where Lord Buddha Lived and Preached” and “Begin Your Bodhi Journey in Uttar Pradesh,” aiming to attract both international tourists and investors to the state.
