In a major tech-enabled service upgrade, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, the country’s leading omnichannel foreign exchange and travel services provider, has launched a WhatsApp Calling feature exclusively for its Forex prepaid card customers. This innovative solution enables real-time, the same number used for its popular WhatsApp Bot services—making it easier for travellers to resolve forex-related queries from anywhere in the world.
The newly integrated WhatsApp Calling function complements Thomas Cook’s self-service Forex Bot, which already allows users to check card balances, download statements, generate PINs, and manage card controls. Now, with voice support seamlessly added, users can speak directly with Thomas Cook’s Forex experts, without needing to buy local SIM cards or navigate toll-free helplines while abroad.
Mr. Deepesh Varma, Executive Vice President – Foreign Exchange, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, stated, “With India’s new-age consumers demanding instant, simplified solutions, our WhatsApp Calling feature enhances accessibility by combining automation with personalized support.” He added that since launching the Forex WhatsApp Bot, the company has seen a 75% reduction in queries and a 9x growth in lead generation, showcasing significant business impact. The addition of voice calling is expected to further streamline customer service and improve user satisfaction.
This development reaffirms Thomas Cook India’s commitment to digital innovation and customer-centric services, making global travel more convenient and stress-free for Indian forex card users. As one of the largest travel service networks in the Asia-Pacific region, Thomas Cook India continues to set new benchmarks in the travel and forex industry.
