Tirupati, India, has earned a top spot on Agoda’s latest list of Asia’s most budget-friendly summer destinations for 2025, highlighting its appeal to travelers seeking cultural richness without high travel costs. According to the digital travel platform’s recent analysis, Tirupati ranks second on the list, with an average room rate of just INR 3211 per night between June and August. The temple town joins Surabaya, Indonesia (INR 3037), and Hat Yai, Thailand (INR 3385), in the top three of Agoda’s value-based ranking.
The ranking, based on average hotel room rates in the ten most popular destinations across nine Asian markets, showcases affordable cities where travelers can enjoy immersive experiences, good connectivity, and low accommodation costs. Tirupati’s inclusion in the top tier highlights its increasing popularity not only as a spiritual hub but also as a well-rounded travel destination.
