In a move set to reshape India’s hospitality landscape, Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) has inked a multi-deal agreement with Marriott International to develop six new hotels across four major Indian markets. The ambitious expansion will add approximately 940 rooms to Brigade’s portfolio under five globally renowned Marriott Bonvoy brands — The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott.
The signing marks a significant milestone in the nearly 15-year relationship between Brigade and Marriott, taking their total collaboration to eight hotels with 1,388 keys. Known as one of South India’s largest private hotel asset owners, Brigade is strengthening its presence in both business and leisure destinations.
MR Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Enterprises Limited, called the expansion a testament to the group’s confidence in India’s hospitality growth. “Each of these projects reflects our belief in the long-term potential of the market and our commitment to delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed hotels,” he said.
Rajeev Menon, President for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, added that the partnership aligns with Marriott’s strategy to meet rising demand for luxury and premium stays in India. “With our diverse portfolio and trusted brands, we’re confident these hotels will set new benchmarks in their respective markets,” he said.
With properties strategically located near business hubs, transport gateways, and leisure destinations, the new hotels are expected to elevate India’s travel offerings, blending global standards with local sensibilities.
