IHCL Expands in Jammu & Kashmir with Signing of Gateway Hotel in Pahalgam

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new hotel in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, under its Gateway brand, further strengthening its footprint in the region. The 64-key brownfield project will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a range of wellness and recreational amenities including a heated pool, spa, gym, and health club. Guests will also have access to banqueting facilities spread over 2,000 sq. ft., making it ideal for intimate gatherings and events. Highlighting the destination’s potential, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said Pahalgam’s mix of leisure, spiritual, adventure, and eco-tourism makes it a compelling destination for today’s traveller, aligning with IHCL’s strategy of expanding into high-potential markets. The project is being developed in partnership with Riaz Ahmad Panjra, Managing Director of Cemtac Cements, who emphasized the shared vision of showcasing the natural and cultural richness of Pahalgam while elevating its hospitality offerings. With this signing, IHCL now has seven hotels in Jammu and Kashmir, including one under development, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the region as a premier tourism hub.
