Rann Utsav Returns with a Broader Canvas: Dholavira Joins the Celebration of Kutch

The much-awaited Rann Utsav kicked off today, extending its run till March 4, 2026, with a renewed focus on showcasing the complete cultural and historical essence of Kutch. Organised by Eyak Ventures Pvt. Ltd. under their flagship brand Evoke Experiences, the festival takes a major leap this season by expanding its itinerary to include Dholavira, the UNESCO World Heritage Site representing the ancient Indus Valley civilisation.
Aligning with the theme “Adhura Nahi, Pura Kutch Dekhiye,” the initiative encourages travellers to experience Kutch beyond the White Desert. While Evoke Experiences continues to operate Rann Utsav – The Tent City at Dhordo, it is simultaneously promoting Dholavira through curated stays and immersive experiences at the White Rann Tent City, Dholavira, and its year-round property Evoke Dholavira.
The Dholavira site offers a unique mix of recreation and discovery, featuring themed accommodations inspired by Harappan elements, a museum, and nearby attractions such as the Fossil Park and archaeological excavation sites. Visitors can enjoy adventure activities including cricket, trampolines, rope courses, and bull rides, alongside tranquil experiences like spa sessions, bicycle rides, and stargazing.
At Dhordo, Rann Utsav’s signature blend of art, culture, and sustainability continues with new additions — a toddler zone, open-air desert cinema, and sustainability stalls demonstrating eco-friendly practices like waste segregation and recycling. Evening storytelling sessions around bonfires will bring local folklore to life, deepening cultural engagement.
This season also introduces “Mitram”, a personalized guest service designed to offer seamless on-ground assistance from check-in to check-out, ensuring visitors enjoy a curated and effortless stay.
“Rann Utsav has always been about more than the White Desert. It’s about stories, traditions, and heritage that make Kutch unique,” said Bhavik Sheth, COO of Evoke Experiences. “With Dholavira’s inclusion, we aim to offer a complete journey through time, landscape, and legacy.”
Sustainability remains central to the festival’s ethos, with eco-friendly tents, LED lighting, plastic crushers, and enhanced waste management reinforcing responsible tourism practices in the fragile White Rann ecosystem.
With Dholavira’s integration, Rann Utsav 2025-26 promises to redefine the Kutch experience, blending ancient history with modern celebration — turning “Adhura Kutch” into “Pura Kutch.”
