The Fern Hotels & Resorts Expands to Arunachal Pradesh with The Fern Residency Itanagar

The Fern Hotels & Resorts, India’s leading eco-sensitive hospitality brand, has announced the signing of The Fern Residency Itanagar, Series by Marriott, marking its debut in Arunachal Pradesh. The new property reinforces the group’s focus on strengthening its presence in Eastern India, taking its regional portfolio to four properties—both operational and upcoming.

“Itanagar’s blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and rising economic activity makes it an important destination within our growth vision for the Northeast,” said Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director, The Fern Hotels & Resorts.
“This sign-up represents our ongoing commitment to creating sustainable hospitality experiences that reflect the spirit of each location.”

Scheduled to open in 2027, the upcoming hotel will feature 70 elegantly designed rooms and suites, crafted to combine modern comfort with local aesthetics. Each accommodation will cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering a tranquil retreat amid the scenic capital of Arunachal Pradesh.

Guests will enjoy a variety of dining and entertainment options, including an all-day restaurant and a chic restrobar. The property will also feature a spacious banquet hall with an adjoining lawn, ideal for conferences, social events, and celebrations. Leisure amenities such as a swimming pool, spa, and fitness centre will complete the experience, ensuring a well-rounded stay.

“The Fern Residency Itanagar will redefine hospitality in the region by combining sophistication, sustainability, and heartfelt service,” Kannampilly added.

Strategically located with easy access to key administrative, cultural, and natural landmarks, the property is poised to become a new hospitality landmark for Northeast India.

“With each new property, The Fern continues its mission to build a greener footprint—one destination at a time.”
