OneTAC Launches India’s FirstTourism Experience Circuit in Udupi at Bangalore Tech Summit

India’s first Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for Tourism, Arts & Culture —
OneTAC — officially launched its maiden Udupi Experience Circuit at the
Bangalore Tech Summit today. The launch event was attended by Prashant Prakash,
Chair of the Karnataka Vision Group on Startups & Partner at Accel, and Dr. Trilok
Chandra, IAS, Secretary – Tourism, Government of Karnataka.
The initiative is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, under
the Incredible India campaign.
A Public Digital Infrastructure for the Experience Economy
The Udupi Circuit has been co-created with a coalition of ecosystem partners:
CulKey Foundation, Samhita, GoodPass, RubiX, and the Paradise Group.
Together, they are developing a scalable model of community-led experiential
tourism, strengthening artisans, performers, guides, fisherfolk, naturalists, home
chefs, and hyper-local creators.
Speaking at the launch, Prashant Prakash said:
“Tourism and culture are powerful engines of inclusive growth. With OneTAC, India

finally has a digital backbone that makes local knowledge discoverable, craft
verifiable, and livelihoods scalable. This unlocks a new category of inclusive
economic growth for Karnataka and the country.”
First One TAC Cohort Announced
The inaugural circuit starts with 20 experience entrepreneurs, offering 15+ curated
trails across six unique thematic segments. More circuits and creators will be added
over the next 180 days, eventually covering all of Coastal Karnataka.
Dr. Trilok Chandra, IAS, remarked:
“Launching OneTAC with the Udupi Circuit reflects our commitment to community-
led tourism and cultural revival. As we prepare to launch the Karnataka Centre for
Cultural Diplomacy (KCCD), initiatives like OneTAC will position Karnataka’s living
heritage on the global stage.”
Why Udupi? A Living Cultural Landscape
Udupi offers an extraordinary mix of cultural depth and natural richness — temple
heritage, Daiva worship traditions, Yakshagana theatre, coastal cuisine, mangroves,
backwaters, marine life, and the Western Ghats biodiversity. It also hosts India’s
youth-driven ocean sports movement, from surfing to scuba.
Prathima Manohar, Director, GoodPass & Paradise Group, added:
“The future of tourism will be built by Made-in-Local creators. OneTAC empowers
communities, strengthens livelihoods, and protects cultural richness while ensuring
technology becomes an enabler, not an obstacle.”
