The Uttar Pradesh government has cleared the Tourism Service Rules 2025 (UP Adheenasth Paryatan Seva Niyamawali 2025), a major administrative reform aimed at professionalising tourism services across the state.
The new framework clearly defines key posts — including Deputy Tourism Officer, District Tourism Officer, Tourism Information Officer and Publication Officer — and lays down transparent processes for recruitment, promotions and service conditions.
Officials say the move will streamline operations, enhance accountability and improve coordination at the district and state levels. The updated structure is expected to boost efficiency in tourism management and strengthen UP’s push to position itself as a leading cultural-heritage, spiritual and wellness tourism hub.
The policy aligns with the state’s broader strategy to modernise tourism governance and deliver more responsive services to visitors.
