Turkish Airlines has further expanded its global network with the launch of flights to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, marking a significant addition to its Southeast Asia operations. With this move, Cambodia becomes the 7th country served by the airline in Southeast Asia, while Phnom Penh becomes the 11th city in the region.
The new route strengthens commercial and tourism ties between Türkiye and Cambodia and expands Turkish Airlines’ Far East network to 20 cities and 21 airports. Turkish Airlines is currently the only European carrier operating direct flights to Phnom Penh, enhancing connectivity to one of the region’s key emerging markets.
Flights between Istanbul and Phnom Penh will operate three times a week. Departures from Istanbul are scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while return flights from Phnom Penh will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Commenting on the launch, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said the addition of Cambodia as the airline’s 132nd country aligns with its strategy of expanding intercontinental connectivity. He noted that the new route is expected to create fresh opportunities for tourism and business while strengthening the airline’s presence in Southeast Asia.
Phnom Penh is a major tourism and trade hub, known for its cultural heritage, historical landmarks and vibrant urban life. Located at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers, the city is home to attractions such as the Royal Palace, National Museum and traditional markets.
To mark the launch, Turkish Airlines has introduced a promotional fare offer. Tickets booked until February 10, 2026, for travel until October 31, 2026, are available with fares starting from USD 699 from Istanbul to Phnom Penh and USD 679 from Phnom Penh to Istanbul. The offer is available on the airline’s official website, with fares subject to variation at sales offices and travel agencies.
