The PATA India Chapter has announced that the Inder Sharma Foundation will present the 4th edition of the PATA India Tourism PowerHouse, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, on 8 January 2026 at ITC Maurya, New Delhi.
Recognised as one of India’s most respected knowledge and advocacy platforms for tourism, the Tourism PowerHouse brings together global tourism leaders, senior policymakers, and key decision-makers from across the travel, hospitality, and destination management ecosystem. The forum is designed to enable high-level dialogue, share global best practices, and support strategic action aimed at strengthening India’s destination competitiveness.
The continued support of the Inder Sharma Foundation reflects the enduring legacy of the late Inder Sharma, widely regarded as one of India’s most visionary tourism entrepreneurs. His leadership philosophy—rooted in global learning, objective data, and informed strategy—continues to guide the Tourism PowerHouse as a platform for forward-looking policy and industry engagement.
The 2026 edition will be held under the theme:
“Accelerating Tourism for Tomorrow: Powered by Data and Knowledge.”
The theme underscores PATA India Chapter’s focus on equipping tourism stakeholders with actionable insights and practical tools to navigate an increasingly complex global environment. With India aiming to strengthen its global tourism position by 2030, the forum will prioritise knowledge exchange, strategy-building, and global benchmarking to support sustainable tourism growth.
PATA CEO Noor Hamid and Mr. Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism, will be among the lead voices anchoring the forum. They will be joined by an eminent line-up of global thought leaders, including Dr. Senthil Gopinath, Prof. Haiyan Song, Alan Merschen, Olivier Ponti, Anita Mendiratta, Matt Gibson, Ludwig Rieder, and Narzalina Lim.
The Tourism PowerHouse is structured to deliver clear strategic outcomes aligned with national and state-level tourism priorities. These include global knowledge transfer through direct engagement with international experts, policy support on aviation, crisis preparedness, technology adoption, and destination competitiveness, and capacity-building for states through global benchmarking. The forum will also strengthen Brand Incredible India’s international visibility and deepen public–private collaboration to accelerate tourism growth to, from, and within India.
Powered by the vision of the Inder Sharma Foundation, the 4th Tourism PowerHouse will continue its mission of nurturing leadership, developing talent, and driving excellence across India’s travel and tourism sector.
