India’s growing influence on global tourism will be firmly in focus at the 33rd edition of SATTE – South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange, scheduled from 25–27 February 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Organised by Informa Markets in India, SATTE 2026 is set to bring together 2,200+ exhibitors from over 60 countries, representing more than 3,200 travel and tourism brands, and is expected to attract 45,000+ trade professionals from across the world.
Anchored around the theme “An Opportunity Called India”, SATTE 2026 reinforces India’s position as the fastest-growing travel demand market globally, driven by rising domestic consumption, strong outbound growth, and expanding inbound interest.
As India’s travel and tourism sector advances towards a projected USD 125 billion domestic market by 2027, and with the industry expected to contribute close to 10 percent of national GDP in the coming years, SATTE returns as the country’s most comprehensive B2B travel marketplace, bringing together policymakers, tourism boards, airlines, hotels, technology providers, and travel businesses on one integrated platform.
A Pan-India Marketplace Connecting Global Supply with Indian Demand
SATTE 2026 reflects the full breadth of how India travels today—across metros as well as rapidly emerging Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. The exhibition spans all key segments including leisure, corporate travel, MICE, destination weddings, cruise, luxury, and experiential tourism.
By integrating inbound, outbound, and domestic buyers and sellers, SATTE mirrors India’s diversified and regionally distributed travel demand. India welcomed 20.57 million international tourists in 2024, exceeding pre-pandemic levels by nearly 15 percent, while outbound travel continues to expand steadily across leisure and corporate segments—cementing India’s role as one of the world’s most critical source markets.
Policy Alignment and Tourism Vision 2047
SATTE 2026 will see strong participation from both central and state governments, with the Ministry of Tourism leading discussions around Tourism Vision 2047. State tourism boards including Goa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Telangana, and Punjab have confirmed participation, highlighting regional tourism products, infrastructure readiness, and investment priorities.
Conference sessions will focus on industry-critical themes such as aviation and air-route expansion, MICE and convention infrastructure, sustainable tourism, destination management, and public-private collaboration to support long-term growth.
Key conference sessions include Travel Titans: Inside the Winner’s Mind, Reimagining Incredible India!, India: The Next Travel Goldmine, How AI Is Reshaping Global Travel, India’s MICE Readiness, Scaling Tourism Through Communities, LCCs as Game-Changers, and Agency-Led Growth in the Digital Era.
A highlight of SATTE 2026 will be a special address by Anita Mendiratta, globally respected advisor to UN Tourism and Founder of Anita Mendiratta & Associates, bringing three decades of global tourism, aviation and development experience to the platform.
Global Participation and Technology in Sharp Focus
International participation underscores India’s growing importance as a tourism source market, with strong representation from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and APAC. Participating destinations include Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Jordan, Egypt, Hong Kong, Nepal, Jamaica, and Vietnam, among others.
Travel technology and digital transformation will be a key focus area, with companies such as EaseMyTrip, Cleartrip, TBO and TRIPJACK showcasing innovations in AI-enabled planning, mobile-first booking, and data-driven travel solutions. India’s online travel market, currently valued at USD 25.38 billion, is projected to reach USD 38.58 billion by 2031, with over 65 percent of bookings now occurring via mobile platforms.
High-growth segments including MICE, destination weddings, cruise tourism, and experiential travel will also take centre stage. India’s wedding tourism market alone generates over USD 72 billion annually, with destination weddings accounting for nearly one-quarter of the segment.
Delivering Outcomes at Scale
Building on the momentum of 200+ business announcements and 23 MoUs recorded at the previous edition, SATTE 2026 aims to deliver stronger commercial outcomes through expanded hosted-buyer programmes and deeper collaboration with leading associations such as SEPC, PATA India, TAAI, TAFI, OTOAI, ETAA, ADTOI and ATOAI.
The exhibition returns to Yashobhoomi, India’s largest integrated convention and exhibition centre, offering world-class infrastructure, advanced digital systems, and seamless connectivity—enabling three days of focused, high-volume B2B engagement.
With its scale, policy alignment and global participation, SATTE 2026 once again positions itself as the definitive platform where India’s travel economy meets the world.
