In a major step to strengthen Odisha’s adventure tourism ecosystem, the state government today launched a dedicated Odisha Adventure Tourism Portal aimed at making adventure travel more accessible and organized for both visitors and local operators. The online platform will serve as a centralised resource where travellers can find information and book a range of certified adventure activities across the state.
Designed as a comprehensive digital gateway for activities such as trekking, paragliding, rafting, rock climbing, and other outdoor experiences, the portal is expected to simplify access to adventure opportunities throughout Odisha’s diverse landscapes—from hills and rivers to coastal and forest regions. By consolidating information and bookings, the platform targets easier discovery of verified operators and safer travel decisions.
Government and industry stakeholders believe the portal will help standardise adventure offerings, create greater transparency, and improve safety compliance for visitors. It will also bring local service providers into a structured digital ecosystem, supporting their visibility to a wider audience. Early responses from travel professionals indicate that the initiative could elevate Odisha’s position as a go-to experiential travel destination in eastern India.
“This portal represents a major leap for adventure tourism in Odisha,” said the state’s Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the Tourism portfolio. “Our goal is not only to unlock the potential of unique experiences across the state but also to ensure that travellers, especially the youth and international visitors, can explore Odisha with confidence, convenience and safety.”
