IHG Hotels & Resorts strengthens foothold in Uttar Pradesh with the signing of Holiday Inn Prayagraj

IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has signed a management agreement with GPKP to develop Holiday Inn Prayagraj, in Uttar Pradesh. Scheduled to open in 2025, the signing underscores IHG’s commitment to expanding its footprint across key secondary markets within India.

Holiday Inn is one of the most loved and recognized hotel brands in the world with over 70 years of history. Deeply rooted in family and business travel, Holiday Inn has a vision to provide a quality, consistent and authentic travel experience for all. Once opened, Holiday Inn Prayagraj will join IHG’s portfolio of 57 Holiday Inn hotels across South West Asia, Middle East and Africa region.

Conveniently located in the heart of Prayagraj, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Holiday Inn Prayagraj will offer a convenient and comfortable stay for travelers. As a prominent commercial and religious center, Prayagraj also hosts the congregation of pilgrims for Prayag Kumbh Mela and Megha Mela festivals, attracting millions of visitors.  Holiday Inn Prayagraj is well-equipped to cater to their diverse needs, offering a welcoming environment for business trips, leisure stays, or religious pilgrimages. Upon opening, the hotel will feature 95 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a functional meeting room, and a well-equipped fitness center.

IHG Hotels Resorts strengthens

With our local insights, combined with IHG’s global expertise, I am confident the hotel will be a huge success.”

IHG currently has 45 hotels operating across five brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express, and a strong pipeline of 50 hotels due to open in the next 3-5 years.
