Shravan Mah Mahotsav to be celebrated at Shivkhori Shrine and Ransoo

The Shri Shivkhori Shrine Board, in collaboration with Jammu Tourism and Cultural Academy, is set to celebrate the Shravan Mah Mahotsav at Ransoo and the Shivkhori Shrine. The festival, which starts on July 22 and concludes on August 19, promises a series of spiritual and cultural activities designed to enhance the religious experience for devotees and tourists alike.

Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Reasi District, expressed his excitement about the upcoming festival. “The Shravan Mah Mahotsav is a significant event for the region, drawing pilgrims and visitors from all over. This year, we have planned a diverse range of activities to enrich the spiritual journey of the participants,” he said.

The festival will feature various activities, including Yoga Sessions, Arti Darshans, Parvachans, Shiv Leela enactments, Kanwar Yatra (A pilgrimage from Ransoo to the Shivkhori Shrine) and Meditation.

To accommodate the influx of visitors, a small tented city comprising 50 to 100 tents will be set up. “We are creating a tented city to provide comfortable accommodations for our guests,” Mahajan stated. “Whether participants wish to stay for multiple days, one day, or just for the day, we have provisions to meet their needs.”

The Shravan Mah Mahotsav aims to provide a holistic and immersive spiritual experience, celebrating the religious and cultural heritage of the region. With the support of the Shri Shivkhori Shrine Board and Jammu Tourism and Cultural Academy, the event is poised to be a memorable occasion for all visitors.
