In the recent elections held on July 24, 2024, Manoj Sogani was re-elected as the chairman of the Rajasthan Chapter of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), the country’s largest and oldest association for travel agents. Sogani secured his position by a significant margin, marking his fifth consecutive term as chairman. His new term will span from 2024 to 2026.
Sogani’s re-election underscores his longstanding influence and leadership in the travel industry. Prior to this ongoing period as chairman, he has held various key positions within the association, including National Managing Committee Member, Secretary, and Chairman.
With nearly 40 years of extensive experience, Sogani is recognized as a travel expert and professional in the industry. His expertise has led to associations with several prominent organizations, including various airport advisory committees, airline committees, and visa committees. The Department of Tourism, Ministry of India frequently invites him for hotel classification and he is often a special guest of honour at tourism seminars and fairs.
In addition to Sogani’s victory, Dashrath Singh Rathore was elected unopposed as Secretary, and Arvind Parikh was elected as Treasurer. Both Rathore and Parikh are well-known figures in the trade and bring a wealth of experience to their respective roles.
