Dubai Tourism Board Showcases City’s Diverse Offerings in Global Campaign Video Featuring Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik

Dubai Tourism has unveiled a new global campaign titled “Dubai, Who’s Ready,” showcasing the city’s diverse attractions through the lens of popular South Korean actors Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik. Released on Dubai Tourism’s official social media channels, the campaign highlights the actors, who starred as a couple in the recent hit drama ‘Doctor Slump,’ as they explore Dubai’s stunning sights, rich culture, and heritage.

Earlier this year, Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik were invited to Dubai as ‘Dubai Friends’ to discover the city and film this captivating campaign. The storyline follows the pair as they meet by chance at the outdoor pool of the Palazzo Versace Dubai and embark on an unplanned adventure across the city. Their journey brings them closer as they immerse themselves in Dubai’s cultural richness and iconic landmarks.

The campaign video features some of Dubai’s most famous attractions, as well as lesser-known areas, offering a comprehensive look at the city. Highlights include the futuristic Museum of the Future, adorned with Arabic calligraphy, the historic Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, where Dubai’s story began, the luxurious Atlantis The Royal, and the dazzling Dubai Fountain show.

The film also ventures beyond the city, showcasing the majestic desert dunes that serve as a backdrop for exploring Dubai’s history and wildlife.

Shahab Shayan, Regional Director Asia Pacific at Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, commented on the campaign, saying, “Through the ‘Dubai, Who’s Ready’ campaign, Dubai is harnessing the global appeal of K-drama to present the city as a stunning backdrop for personal stories. We were thrilled to welcome Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik to Dubai to create these powerful films, and we hope viewers are as captivated by Dubai as they were. With K-drama’s global reach, we anticipate this campaign will resonate with key international markets, further enhancing Dubai’s appeal worldwide.”

Actress Park Shin-hye expressed her excitement about the campaign, sharing, “Everywhere I went, from the desert and Palm Jumeirah to Al Seef, the Dubai Fountain Show, and Burj Khalifa, there was so much to see and do. My time in Dubai was incredibly enjoyable, and it’s such an attractive place that I definitely want to visit again.” She added, “I hope those who watch the video are inspired to travel to Dubai and create their own unique experiences and cherished memories.”

Actor Park Hyung-sik also reflected on his experience, stating, “My time in Dubai felt like a dream. I was captivated by the towering buildings that glimmered from day to night. The clear skies and the sunset over the endless sea are memories I won’t soon forget.” He concluded, “I’m happy and grateful to have experienced the many charms of Dubai.”
