28th August 2024– NIMA (Network of MICE Agents) celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of supporting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) agents. Over these ten years, NIMA has been a strong advocate for its members, offering free membership without any hidden charges.
NIMA has focused on helping its members improve their skills through practical education sessions run by National and Regional Tourism Boards. They’ve also offered mentorship in areas like digital marketing and social media. Additionally, NIMA has partnered with educational institutions across the country, helping with curriculum design, training, placements, and providing live projects.
To further promote India as a leading MICE destination, NIMA has declared 2025 as the “Year of MICE Tourism.” Throughout the year, events will be held across the country, from Raipur to Ranchi, Madurai to Mohali, and Agra to Amritsar, to boost MICE tourism.
NIMA has also announced that June 21st will be celebrated as “World MICE Tourism Day.” This date, which falls on the summer solstice, is a peak time for travel and events worldwide, making it a fitting day to recognize the importance of the MICE industry.
