SKAL International India has announced the appointment of four distinguished members to key positions within SKAL International, the world’s leading organization for travel and tourism professionals. The announcements were made during the 83rd SKAL World Congress 2024, marking a milestone for India’s growing influence in the global tourism industry.
In a historic moment, NSN Mohan was elected as Deputy Vice President of SKAL International. This is the first time in the 90-year history of SKAL that an Asian and an Indian has been elected to this prestigious role. Currently serving as Director of Finance for SKAL International in 2024, Mohan’s leadership and dedication to fostering collaboration within the travel and tourism community have been widely recognized. His appointment is expected to strengthen SKAL’s global initiatives and enhance cooperation among international chapters.
Valmiki Kishan has been appointed as Deputy Auditor of SKAL International. In this vital role, Kishan will oversee financial transparency and accountability within the organization, ensuring its continued integrity. His expertise in finance will play a key role in maintaining SKAL’s operational excellence.
In addition, P Saravanan Palanivelu from SKAL International India – Chennai and Vani Subhas of SKAL International – Hyderabad have been honored with the prestigious title of Membre D’Honneur. This accolade is one of the highest recognitions within SKAL International, awarded to individuals for their extraordinary contributions and lifelong commitment to the organization.
These appointments signify the exceptional leadership emerging from SKAL India and reinforce the country’s rising prominence in the global tourism sector.
