Hainan Province’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports has unveiled a comprehensive white paper titled Hainan Tourism and Culture Brand Image Development and International Communication Strategies. The report, developed in collaboration with the Xinhua News Agency’s News and Information Centre, offers an in-depth analysis of Hainan’s tourism and cultural brand image.
The white paper is divided into five key sections, covering topics such as the macro background of inbound tourism in Hainan, challenges facing the sector, and innovative strategies like the “Digital Twin” tourism experience model. It compares Hainan’s tourism landscape with domestic and international competitors and provides actionable recommendations for brand development, international communication, and visitor experience enhancement.
Spanning nearly a year of research, the report utilized field surveys, international questionnaires, and interviews to create a multi-dimensional view of the tourism sector. It introduces an “emotional cognition-behavioral decision-making” model to better understand tourist behavior, while also addressing macro trends, such as the influence of “Generation Z” and the transformation of the tourism industry.
The white paper marks a forward-looking approach, proposing new solutions to enhance Hainan’s tourism and cultural industry, with a focus on digital innovation and strategic development.
