Kerala Tourism has launched an upgraded version of its official website, www.keralatourism.org, aiming to enhance its global presence and competitiveness in the tourism sector. The revamped site, available in over 20 languages, serves as a comprehensive digital guide to the state’s attractions, culture, and travel information.
Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas, who unveiled the updated portal, emphasized the need for Kerala to compete with global tourism giants like Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Australia. He highlighted that the new, user-friendly platform will offer tourists easy access to information about certified hotels, homestays, Ayurveda centers, and wellness retreats in Kerala.
The upgraded website uses advanced technologies such as ReactJS and Python Flask for seamless browsing across devices. It features high-resolution images, engaging videos, and interactive tools like travel planners, live webcasts, and user-generated content (UGC) for travelers to share their experiences.
With over one crore visitors and more than two crore page views in 2023-24, Kerala’s tourism website remains a key resource for global tourists. The site has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the top 10 tourism websites in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
