Accor, a global hospitality leader, has announced the signing of Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong, a luxury hotel project in partnership with Vietnam’s DOJI Group. Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark will be part of the prestigious Diamond Crown Hai Phong complex, marking the first internationally recognized hotel in the area.
Prime Location and Iconic Design
The hotel will occupy a 45-story tower in Hai Phong’s prominent Diamond Crown complex, alongside a 39-story luxury residential tower. Featuring 231 rooms and 180 serviced apartments, the hotel will include state-of-the-art amenities such as an infinity pool, spa, restaurants, a golf simulator, and a conference center. Designed with distinctive Diagrid architecture, the project has earned accolades, including the Best Luxury Residence and Hotel Iconic Design Vietnam award and LEED certification for sustainability.
Elevating Hai Phong as a Luxury Destination
Hai Phong, Vietnam’s third-largest city and an industrial hub, is gaining prominence as a tourist destination. Located near Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Archipelago, the city offers a mix of natural beauty, French colonial architecture, and vibrant cultural experiences. The Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong aims to position the city as a luxury travel hotspot, appealing to both leisure and business travelers.
Strategic Partnership with DOJI Group
DOJI Group, one of Vietnam’s top private enterprises, is spearheading the project through its Diamond Crown brand. The collaboration with Accor aligns with DOJI’s vision of creating world-class hospitality experiences and supporting regional economic growth.
“This partnership with Accor allows us to bring international standards and local culture together, contributing significantly to Hai Phong’s tourism and hospitality landscape,” said Ms. Le Thi Hien, Deputy General Director of DOJI Group.
Sofitel’s Growing Presence in Vietnam
Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong joins Sofitel’s portfolio in Vietnam, which includes Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Sofitel Saigon Plaza. With the addition of Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences and this project, Accor will more than double Sofitel’s presence in Vietnam by 2025.
“This signing reinforces Sofitel’s commitment to meaningful travel experiences and strengthens our presence in one of Southeast Asia’s key markets,” said Xavier Grange, Chief Development Officer of Sofitel.
Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong is poised to become a new benchmark for luxury travel in Vietnam, blending French elegance with the vibrant essence of Hai Phong.
