The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the “Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise 2024” tournament on December 19 at Siam Country Club Waterside and Rolling Hills in Pattaya, welcoming over 300 Chinese golfers. The event celebrated the 50th anniversary of Thai-China diplomatic ties, blending competitive golf with cultural exchange.
Participants, who arrived through specialised golf package tours, experienced Thailand’s premier golf courses and renowned hospitality, reaffirming the nation’s status as a world-class golf destination.
TAT Deputy Governor Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai highlighted the significance of the event in strengthening relations and promoting Thailand as the ultimate golf paradise. The initiative aligns with TAT’s focus on niche markets like sports tourism, which is increasingly popular among Chinese millennials and urban professionals.
To enhance future collaborations, TAT also organised a familiarisation trip for Chinese travel agencies and media, showcasing Thailand’s cultural heritage, wellness services, and luxury experiences.
With over 100 international-standard golf courses and year-round playability, Thailand continues to attract high-quality visitors, contributing to local economies and solidifying its reputation as a leading global golf destination.
