The Indian Association of Tour Operators wants to give a message to its foreign clients and domestic travellers that India is safe to travel. This was conveyed by Rajiv Mehra, President IATO.

In response to a question on the motto of organising a physical event in this crucial time, Mr Mehra said, “India travel association is doing physical event where are stakeholders, hoteliers, travel agents, tourism boards, government officials are participating, this will give a signal outside that things are getting better in India. This will help us in reviving the industry, because this will boost the confidence of travellers.”
“This time we have done some changes in the format for the benefit of participants, I am sure listing the speakers will benefit them immensely,” he added.

Mr Ravi Gosain, Vice President, IATO gave details of the programme: “IATO members should participate in big numbers to get the benefit of this convention. They will be able to discuss their issues with industry stalwarts, most of us had no business for more than 14 months; everyone is stressed. The session we are organising will not only inspire you but also give lot of ideas and way forward as our theme ‘Brand India – The Road to Recovery’ in this particular session senior government official from state and centre will be sharing the vision and will talk about how government is planning to support it to restart business.”
