Sheo Shekhar Shukla, principal secretary, tourism, in Madhya Pradesh spoke to Travel World Online on the National Tourism Awards, 2022, which were presented on Tuesday at a programme organised by the Ministry of Tourism to mark World Tourism Day, 2022. The state bagged eight awards.
“It has been a big day for us on this World Tourism Day, as Madhya Pradesh Tourism has been bestowed with eight tourism awards. We have been collaborating with the private sector and other stakeholders to create a conducive ecosystem of promoting travel and tourism in Madhya Pradesh and it has caught up like anything. Not only domestic but also inbound tourism has huge potential, and we are trying to capitalise the most from it,” he said.
“The state is blessed with a number of national parks, heritage properties, and a lot of water bodies where lots of adventure activities are on. Madhya Pradesh has a lot to offer which no other state has in one package. We invite everyone who is looking for experiential tourism to come to Madhya Pradesh and experience and explore their love and satisfaction of travel,” he added.
