Sunil Kumar, President of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), has announced that the association’s 68th Annual Convention & Exhibition will be held from September 17–19, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl. Themed “Business with Goodness,” the event will also commemorate TAAI’s 74th anniversary.
Organised in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the convention is set to become a landmark gathering for the Indian travel trade, reinforcing strategic ties between India and the UAE’s tourism sectors. The three-day program will bring together travel agents, tour operators, airlines, hospitality leaders, government representatives, and tourism innovators to explore new business opportunities, ethical practices, and industry growth strategies.
Delegates can expect high-level knowledge sessions, exclusive B2B networking forums, and immersive cultural experiences. Highlights include visits to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan Palace, BAPS Hindu Mandir, and TeamLab Phenomena. Evenings will feature theme dinners, gala celebrations, and networking events designed to strengthen partnerships.
The convention aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which targets 39.3 million annual visitors through enhanced connectivity, innovative event collaborations, and a diversified economy. With India as one of Abu Dhabi’s largest source markets, the event is expected to boost bilateral tourism links, foster innovation, and reaffirm Abu Dhabi’s position as a world-class hub for leisure, culture, and commerce.
