Set in the foothills of the Himalayas and overlooking the sacred River Ganges, the luxury resort is scheduled to open in **2030* and is positioned to become one of the most prominent high-end wellness destinations in the country.
Spread across *eight acres* of pristine Himalayan landscape, the resort will feature *160 elegantly designed rooms and suites*, seamlessly blending contemporary sophistication with local artistic influences. True to the Sofitel brand ethos, the property aims to deliver a refined fusion of French elegance and India’s spiritual essence, catering to both international luxury travellers and high-value domestic markets.
The resort will offer a strong culinary portfolio with five distinct food and beverage venues, including a signature restaurant, rooftop specialty dining, a poolside grill, and an upscale lobby lounge and bar. The dining concepts will showcase a curated blend of French gastronomy and Indian culinary traditions, enhancing the overall experiential appeal of the property.
Wellness will be at the core of the guest experience. Facilities will include *two swimming pools, a 623-square-metre Sofitel Spa with six treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and thoughtfully curated yoga and meditation programmes inspired by Rishikesh’s global reputation as a spiritual capital. This positions the resort strongly within the rapidly expanding global wellness tourism market.
