Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) Concludes 2023-24 AGM, Elects New Leadership for 2024-26 Term

The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2023-24 at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa in New Delhi. The event culminated in a Fellowship Dinner, fostering unity among members from across the country.

AGM Highlights: The AGM commenced with a visionary speech by ATOAI President, Mr. Ajeet Bajaj, who highlighted the association’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and responsible adventure tourism. He praised members’ efforts in advancing responsible tourism and reviewed the progress and accomplishments of the past year.

Mr. Ronny Singh Gulati, Honorary Secretary, delivered a comprehensive report on the association’s achievements in 2023-24, while Honorary Treasurer Mr. Nirat Bhatt provided a detailed financial overview. The AGM also passed key resolutions, including approval of the previous AGM minutes, adoption of the financial report, and the formal appointment of SPH & Associates as auditors for the upcoming financial year.

New Leadership Elected for 2024-26 Term: ATOAI also conducted elections under the guidance of Returning Officer Mr. Rajiv Kohli. The following office bearers were elected unopposed for the 2024-26 term:

  • President: Mr. Ajeet Bajaj (Managing Director, Snow Leopard Adventures Pvt. Ltd.)
  • Senior Vice President: Mr. Vaibhav Kala (Managing Director, Aquaterra Adventures India Pvt. Ltd.)
  • Vice President: Ms. Arshdeep Anand (Director, Holiday Moods Adventures Spectrum)
  • Honorary Secretary: Mr. Ronny Gulati (Managing Director, Youreka Campouts Services Pvt. Ltd.)
  • Honorary Treasurer: Mr. Nirat Bhatt (Managing Director, Nidus Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.)

Newly elected Executive Committee members include Mr. Vishwas Makhija, Mr. Milind Bhide, Mr. Amit Periwal, Mr. Yog Dutt, and Mr. Shekhar Babu. This leadership team aims to drive growth in India’s adventure tourism sector by collaborating with government bodies and industry leaders to enhance the country’s reputation as a premier adventure destination.

Fellowship Dinner: The event concluded with a grand Fellowship Dinner, celebrating the collective vision of ATOAI members. Notable guests included Col. Vijay Singh VSM (retd), President of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, and Brigadier Ashok Abbey AVSM (retd), who praised ATOAI’s role in setting new industry standards. Col. Preetinder Singh Chohan, Director of the Army Adventure Wing, further highlighted the significance of the event with his presence.

The newly elected leadership team is poised to spearhead transformative initiatives in India’s adventure tourism sector over the next two years.
