Air India Express Expands Services in North Goa with New Domestic and International Flights from Manohar International Airport

Air India Express has significantly expanded its footprint in Goa by commencing operations from Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, complementing its existing network at Goa International Airport (GOI). With this strategic move, the airline now operates over 115 weekly flights across both airports, strengthening connectivity for domestic and international travellers.

The airline has launched twice-daily flights from GOX to Delhi and daily services to key cities including Bengaluru, Indore, and Chennai. A new route to Hyderabad is set to commence on May 3. In a major boost to international connectivity, Air India Express will also begin flights to Kuwait from May 3 and to Abu Dhabi from May 5, 2025, further enhancing access to the Middle East from Goa.

This expansion marks a milestone for Air India Express as it continues to grow its network aggressively. The airline recently became the first and only carrier to operate from two airports in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the launch of services from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad. From Hindon, Air India Express now operates direct flights not only to Goa but also to major cities like Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Varanasi.

Air India Express’s rapid growth is supported by its expanding fleet, which recently welcomed its 100th aircraft—doubling the airline’s capacity in just two years. With over 500 daily flights to 55 destinations across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, the airline continues to strengthen its presence as a key player in regional and international aviation.

A special launch event was held at Manohar International Airport to commemorate the new operations, attended by top airline executives including Siddhartha Butalia, Chief Marketing Officer; Shashi Chetia, Vice President – Network Planning; and Anand Ramachandran, Deputy CEO of Manohar International Airport. The ceremony also included participation from CISF, Customs, and other key operational partners. A ceremonial boarding pass was presented to the first guest on the inaugural flight, marking the beginning of a new chapter in enhanced air connectivity for North Goa.
