Air India has announced a significant operational shift, moving all its flights from Narita International Airport to Haneda Airport, effective 31 March 2025. This strategic relocation enhances convenience for passengers by offering closer access to Tokyo’s city center and improved connectivity through seamless transfers to over 15 domestic destinations in Japan via Air India’s codeshare partners.
Further strengthening its presence in Japan, Air India is set to launch a new codeshare partnership with ANA Airways, starting 1 April 2025, pending regulatory approvals. This collaboration will expand Air India’s network, covering key Japanese cities including Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Okinawa, Osaka, and Sapporo.
Travel partners are encouraged to update their customers about these changes to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience. The shift to Haneda and the expanded connectivity through ANA Airways reaffirm Air India’s commitment to offering enhanced accessibility and seamless travel options for passengers flying to and within Japan.
