‘Evaluating process’ to normalise scheduled international flight ops: Scindia

Union minister for civil aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has assured the air travel players that the government is trying to bring normalcy in scheduled flights with necessary precautions in place. “I am all for regaining our space in the civil aviation arena in the world and making a hub in India and for more wide body aircraft. We will get there but bear with me and trust me, I am with you. We will work together but in a safe environment,” the minister said.

In response to a question, Scindia said, “The government is evaluating the process for normalising international operations. I am on your side, in the last one and half months we have increased capacity from 50% to 100%, then we are allowed to serve food on all domestic flights.” He asserted he wants to return to normalcy while keeping in mind the coronavirus pandemic situation in different parts of the world.
