Vistara expanded its international reach, added Dammam and resumed Mumbai–Colombo route

A320neo aircraft will fly daily non-stop between Mumbai and Dammam starting March 1, 2023. Booking tickets has begun. Vistara added Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to its global network. After nearly three years, the airline will resume daily flights between Mumbai and Colombo on March 1, 2023. The airline has remained EBITDA-positive in FY23-TD and reported breakeven in Q3 FY22. Even when unrealized foreign currency loss and other income were taken into account, the airline still had a net profit for the quarter.
"Dammam, which is Saudi Arabia's second largest city after Jeddah, is an exciting addition to our presence," said Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara. Dammam is a key administrative location in Saudi Vision 2030. It has the largest port in the Gulf and a lot of important business headquarters. The airline recently made more than $1 billion in sales. Its EBITDA has been positive so far in FY23-to-date, and in Q3 FY22, it broke even for the first time.
Vistara seeks carbon neutrality by reducing emissions and investing in green technologies. The airline digitalized several processes to reduce paper use and aircraft weight, saving fuel.
