
In a historic first on the global tourism stage, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum (APTF), along with the Tours and Travels Association of Andhra Pradesh, represented by its President K. Vijay Mohan, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Da Nang Tourism Association of Vietnam.
This pioneering collaboration aims to leverage Andhra Pradesh’s extensive tourism expertise to promote the state’s rich heritage, with a special focus on Buddhism-themed travel packages. Under the agreement, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum will provide Da Nang Tourism Association with its collective insights, industry knowledge, networks, and deep understanding of the local tourism ecosystem, enabling the design of highly effective programs to market Andhra Pradesh to international travellers.
The MOU ceremony was graced by several key dignitaries from Vietnam’s tourism sector, including Mr. Nglyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism; Mr. Tan Van, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Vù Thè Bình, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association; Mr. Cao Trí Dûng, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association; and Ms. Truding Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism.
Speaking at the event, industry insiders highlighted that this collaboration represents not just a milestone for Andhra Pradesh tourism but also a model for international partnerships, strengthening cultural and economic ties between India and Vietnam.
In an exciting development, the forum has teased a major announcement, which is expected to be unveiled soon in the presence of *Hon’ble Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh, further reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s vision of emerging as a premier global tourism destination.
This agreement underscores Andhra Pradesh’s proactive approach in positioning its tourism offerings on the world stage and signals a promising future for cross-border tourism collaborations in South and Southeast Asia.
