Scotland – Avishek Bambii Das, CEO of Ospree Duty Free, has been recognized as a Keeper of the Quaich, the highest honor in the Scotch whisky industry, during a prestigious ceremony held at Blair Atholl Castle. The exclusive accolade, awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Scotch whisky world, places Avishek among a select group of honorees globally, with few Indians achieving this distinction.
In the same ceremony, rock legend Sir Rod Stewart was also inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich, further highlighting the significance of the event.

Under Avishek’s leadership, Ospree Duty Free has witnessed impressive growth, particularly in the Single Malt Scotch category, which saw a 60% year-on-year (YoY) increase. In FY24, the whisky category grew by 41%, accounting for 45% of the company’s total revenue. Ospree’s unique range of over 250 malts has been a key driver of this success.
